This morning, President Barack Obama, standing alongside his daughters, Sasha and Malia, delivered the traditional pardon to National Thanksgiving turkeys “Apple” and “Cider.” Of course, the turkeys have been living the life of late — even though the fowl won’t get the traditional trip to Disneyland:

“The 21-week-old turkey being pardoned this year will arrive in Washington from California next week and stay at the W Hotel, just a block from the White House. Once at Mount Vernon, he’ll be driven to his pen in a horse-drawn carriage and be greeted with a trumpet fanfare.”

A stay at the W and a horse-drawn carriage, eh? God bless America.
