Good morning Washington. Is everyone ready to venture forth for another day of travel? Just close your eyes, bite down hard, rip quickly and get it over with. And if you’re choosing to drive back home today, that band aid is going to feel more like a gunshot to the head, as our area is notorious for bottlenecks. For those of us lucky to have gotten our gluttonous fill of turkey in town, sit back and watch our version of the Macy’s parade, as visiting relatives flee en masse and far flung transplants return to the district.

>> Undaunted by his post-Thanksgiving Day dinner injury, President Obama was seen back at the basketball courts, watching the Howard University Bisons take on the Oregon State Beavers. Obama was accompanied by Michelle, his daughters and mother-in-law, all rooting for the Beavers and his brother-in-law, Beavers Coach Craig Robinson. Evenly matched through the first half, Oregon State pulled ahead in the second and beat Howard 84-74.

>> A second man, 19-year-old Larnell Allen, was arrested and charged Friday in the November shooting death of Joseph Alonzo Sharps Jr. Sharps, 17, was killed in the Trinidad neighborhood returning home from finishing his homework. Earlier, another teenager, Kwan Kearney, was arrested Tuesday in connection with the shooting.
