Photo of Ivan, courtesy Washington Humane Society. The Washington Humane Society (WHS) is offering a $1,000 reward for the safe return of a four-month-old puppy which was stolen from the agency’s 1201 New York Avenue NE dog shelter. (Please, save all your Molly jokes until the end of the post.) According to TBD, Ivan — a pit bull mix who…I mean, just look at that face — was taken by three people who grabbed him from his cage and left through a wooden fence in the rear of the building.
Of course, the most insane thing about the theft is that, according to its website, WHS is “experiencing an overpopulation of pit bulls within our care” and would love it if someone would actually come in and adopt a dog like Ivan.
The building’s security cameras captured the three leaving with the puppy (watch after the jump). Those with any information about Ivan’s whereabouts should contact WHS at 202-724-3834.
