FOOD & DRINK: Sample winter beers at the Brickskeller’s (1523 22nd Street NW) Holidaze Tasting Extravaganzee tonight. A number of brewmasters will be in attendance to talk about what you’ll sample. This may be one of your last chances to stop by this D.C. institution, as it’s rumored to be closing its doors soon. Doors open 6 p.m., tasting starts at 7 p.m. $35.

>> Tiffany MacIsaac of Birch & Barley leads a class at the Columbia Room (1021 7th Street NW) as a part of their Fall Pastry Chef Series. $74 per person (plus tax and gratuity). 6-7 p.m.

MUSIC: What do you get when you pair two performers, one on a baritone ukulele and the other with a guitar/bass hybrid? You get the quirky but cool stylings of Buke and Gass, playing tonight at the Rock and Roll Hotel (1353 H Street NE) with Talk Normal and Hammer No More The Fingers. 8:30 p.m. $10.

HAPPY HOUR: If you’re up for a late night tonight, head over to Buddha-Bar‘s (455 Massachusetts Avenue NW) Reverse Happy Hour. Get cheaper drinks ($3-$4 beers, $5 mixed drinks and wine, $6 special cocktails) around the witching hour, instead of right after work. 11 p.m.-1 a.m.

MOVIE: The Washington Jewish Film Festival continues tonight with a number of films, including Tango, a Story with Jews at the Aaron & Cecile Goldman Theater (1529 16th Street NW). Following the movie, there will be a tango party at the Ina and Jack Kay Community Hall. 8:30 p.m. film screening, 9:45 p.m. tango party. Tickets: $11.

BENEFIT: One hundred percent of the proceeds from Citizen Effect‘s “Crank Up the Cause” show at U Street Music Hall (1115A U Street NW) will benefit five projects (Dreams for Kids, Partners of the Americas, Earthspark International, Catholic Charities of New Orleans and Mekane Yesus Church), potentially helping thousands of people in the U.S. and around the world. 6:30 p.m. $10.

CHRISTMAS: The National Christmas Tree Lighting takes place on the Ellipse tonight, with performances by B.B. King, Sara Bareilles and Maroon 5. 5 p.m. Free, but if you didn’t score tickets through the lottery, you’ll have to catch it on WETA this Friday at 10 p.m.
