An investigation into a carjacking snarled traffic near Washington Circle for some time this morning. A MPD spokesperson tells DCist that police responded to a call for a carjacking in the area at 10:29 a.m. — the spokesperson also confirmed that police had made an apprehension in connection with the crime. According to a witness who lives in the neighborhood, a section of K Street NW between 26th Street through the tunnel under the Circle was closed for about an hour, as police swarmed the proximity.
