Photo by rockcreek.Sommer Mathis reports that the public will have to wait a little bit longer to learn what precisely caused Ali Ahmed Mohammed to die near the DC9 nightclub on October 15. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has filed the amended certificate of death, but the OCME offices are closed today due to an scheduled move; this means that the certificate can’t be picked up and delivered to Mohammed’s family until Monday, at the earliest. Obviously, the family must be informed before the information can be released to the public.
DC9, which didn’t reopen as planned on Wednesday night, does appear to be all set to open tonight for their traditional Friday night Liberation Dance Party, according to the bar’s website and their Twitter account.
