You know those people who take the entire week off before Christmas? Yeah, we hate them too. But you know what those people miss out on? Free stuff, like lunches from Chop’t. Take that, vacationeers!

The yet-to-officially-open 1629 K Street NW outlet of the popular fast-salad lunch joint will be offering free salads and sandwiches today between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. (or until, as they put it, “the greens run out”). The location will actually open for regular business tomorrow.

Yes, it’s “trainee” food — but it’s free “trainee” food! And really, how badly can you mess up a Chop’t salad? Greens, a little protein, some veggies and dressing: it’s pretty much foolproof.
