Bread for the City, which recently unveiled a huge $8.25 million, 11,000-square-foot expansion at its 1525 7th Street NW headquarters, got some national love from CNN on Christmas Day this year — a nice little piece which highlights just some of what BFTC does on a daily basis. Deputy Director Jeannine Sanford and Medical Clinic Director Randi Abramson do a rock-solid job of providing some much-needed services to the community, so it’s nice to see them getting a little bit of national attention.
BFTC is in the middle of a fundraising drive to ensure full staffing and proper operation of their new medical clinic next year — if you’ve got a couple of bucks leftover from the holidays, you could certainly do a whole lot worse than a donation.
