DANCE: The Dance Institute of Washington presents its Annual Kwanzaa Celebration Concert, featuring dance, poetry and song, at the GALA Hispanic Theatre (3333 14th Street NW). Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets: $15.
THEATER: There’s still time to catch Round House Theatre’s (4545 East-West Highway, Bethesda) production of A Wrinkle in Time, which we described as a “whimsical, abstract approach to the science fiction-inspired children’s story” in our review earlier this month. $10. 7 p.m.
LIGHTS: Zoolights, the animal themed light display at the National Zoo (3001 Connecticut Avenue NW), is free this year, but it’s almost over. Tonight and January 1st are the last days to take it in. 6:00-8:30 p.m.
