Peter Nickles

Yet another new job for a prominent Fenty administration figure: former D.C. Attorney General and Fenty consigliere Peter Nickles will be returning to Covington & Burling LP as senior counsel. Nickles had previously worked at the firm for four decades and sued the District on numerous occasions.

According to the Post, Nickles will work as “one person to lead [clients] through the maze of government, regulatory processes and the court and to provide public relations.” (Nickles certainly gained plenty of experience with that last part of the his new job’s description while Fenty was mayor.) With the new position, Nickles can now move back to his horse farm in Great Falls and send flowers to whomever he damn well pleases.
