- Metro’s board of directors officially named Richard Sarles as its new General Manager/Chief Executive Officer this afternoon. Here’s a copy of Sarles’ remarks, which is high on lofty ambition. Sarles will reportedly pull in $350,000 per year on a three-year contract. Meanwhile, Fairfax representative Catherine Hudgins was named Peter Benjamin’s replacement as the board’s chairman.
