Photo by Kevin H.WMATA’s maintenance schedule this weekend is hardly beyond the pale — Red, Orange and Blue Line riders will find some delays out there, but the work is hardly anything outrageous. A list of the planned maintenance delays — all starting this evening at 10 p.m. and ending at closing on Sunday — this weekend:
Red Line:
>> Trains will single-track between the Friendship Heights and Van Ness-UDC Metrorail stations. Riders should add at least 20 minutes to their travel time.
>> Trains will single-track between the New York Avenue-Florida Avenue-Gallaudet U and Rhode Island Avenue-Brentwood Metrorail stations. Riders should add at least 20 minutes to their travel time.
>> On Saturday and Sunday, Red Line trains will depart from both termini in 15 minute intervals, while for most of the day, trains between Van Ness-UDC and New York Avenue-Florida Avenue-Gallaudet U will run every eight minutes.
Orange Line:
>> Trains will single-track between the East Falls Church and West Falls Church-VT/UVA Metrorail stations. Riders should add at least 20 minutes to their travel time.
Blue Line:
>> Trains will single-track between the Stadium-Armory and Addison Road-Seat Pleasant stations. Riders should add at least 30 minutes to their travel time.
>> Trains will single-track between the Braddock Road and Van Dorn Street stations. Riders should add at least 30 minutes to their travel time.
