>> A woman was found dead outside of the Ballston Mall in Arlington Friday morning. The cause of death of the woman, who was possibly homeless, is not clear as of now. Police are still investigating.
>> A hospital generator in Takoma Park leaked diesel into Sligo Creek following the power outages as a result of the snowstorm this week. Washington Adventist Hospital’s back-up generator leaked 225 gallons into the creek following its power going out Thursday night. The hospital will work with an environmental company to help clean up the creek.
>> Sure to draw ire from Foggy Bottom residents, GW might be planning a “superdorm” on their campus. The proposed development would combine three existing dorms, Schenley, Crawford, and West End (older dorms on the GW campus) and create one big superdorm. However, university officials say that nothing is set in stone right now, the development might just be a renovation of the existing structures. The facades of the buildings would be preserved for historic purposes either way.
