Saturday:
>> Montreal’s Chromeo have taken the talkbox-laced jams of the 1980s and added witty lyricism to concoct their unique musical approach. They’re scheduled for a performance today and Sunday at 9:30 Club. Although Saturday is sold out (Craigslist has offerings), Sunday tickets are available. $25. 8 p.m. on Saturday/7 p.m. on Sunday. On Friday, we’ll have an interview with group member Patrick “P-Thugg” Gemayel.

>> Just off a run in the Broadway hit FELA!, Patti Labelle takes to the Strathmore stage to perform from her vast songbook. The show is sold out, but check with Craig. 8 p.m.

>> “Sol Power” is back and will now take place at Eighteenth Street Lounge on the first Saturday of every other month. DJs Stylus, Meistro and Deep Sang will be on the decks, spinning funky tunes ranging from Brazil to western Africa. $5 before 11 p.m. / $10 after 11 p.m. 9:30 p.m.

>> DJ Soul Call Paul is at the Velvet Lounge for another installment of the “Big Bad City” soul/funk dance party. Free. 10 p.m.

Sunday:
>> Well, they’re going to give it another try. After ?uestlove‘s birthday celebration got snowed out last week, he was gracious enough to reschedule his set and hold it in conjunction with a Super Bowl viewing party at Liv. Don’t worry, though — he won’t start his set until after the game and previously purchased tickets will be honored. $15 in advance. 5:30 p.m.
