Football season never actually ends, you know. (Except for when the league locks out its players, which may or may not happen in a month’s time.) So even though the Green Bay Packers’ victory in Super Bowl XLV is barely 12 hours old, it’s already time to start thinking about next year’s campaign — and betting on it, of course.

According to Mike Prada at SBNation, Vegas already has listings up on odds for next year’s Super Bowl champion. The Redskins are currently on the board at 50/1, placing them ahead of only eight mostly moribund franchises. Among the teams with better odds to win the title next year: the Houston Texans, the Tennessee Titans and the San Francisco 49ers, a trio of clubs who went a combined 18-30 last year. Hail to the poor Redskins bettor, I guess.
