TUESDAY:
>> Renowned experimental cellist Frances-Marie Uitti will play a recital with guitarist Ayman Fanous (February 15, 7:30 p.m.), at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church (728 23rd St. NW), including music by Giacinto Scelsi, Salvatore Sciarrino, Jonathan Harvey, György Kurtág and others. Tickets: $20.

>> Vocal Arts D.C. celebrates its 20th anniversary with a recital by mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato and pianist David Zobel in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall.

WEDNESDAY:
>> For your lunchtime listening, pianist William Chapman Nyaho will play a program of music of the African Diaspora (February 16, 12:10 p.m.) on the free series at the National Gallery of Art (East Building auditorium). No tickets or reservations are required.

>> In a free recital at the Freer Gallery of Art, mezzo-soprano Keiko Aoyama and pianist Yoshio Tsukuda perform a selection of music from Japan (February 16, 7:30 p.m.).

THURSDAY:
>> Bringing together a veteran and a promising young string quartet, the Juilliard and Afiara Quartets join forces for a concert (February 17, 7:30 p.m.) in the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater.
