The Adams Mill Bar & Grill is officially no more. So what will be taking over the desirable retail space near the intersection of 18th Street and Columbia Road NW? Rumors had been flying around that the space would be filled by one of two national bread-bowl chains Cosi or Panera Bread — but TBD’s Elahe Izadi reports this afternoon that neither have any plans to move into the neighborhood: Panera is apparently heading to DCUSA in Columbia Heights (news in and of itself, of course), while Cosi is “actively looking for sites in the [D]istrict,” but not in the Adams Mill space. It appears as if we’re back to square one — so we thought we’d ask: what would you like to see take over the plot? Let us know in the comments.
