As you’re all aware by now, the 5th annual DCist Exposed Photography Show will kick off with not one, but two opening nights, March 15 and 16, 6 to 10 p.m. at Long View Gallery. Deciding on two nights wasn’t easy and it adds to our expense. But we want this year’s experience to be a little less crowded, with space for people to concentrate on what the show is all about: the photography.

This year, we’re limiting each night to 500 people – in a 5,000-square-foot space, that should give us all plenty of breathing room, allow the HVAC to keep up and keep the fire marshal nice and happy. And to make this process a little easier and reduce your waiting time at the door, we’re selling tickets in advance.

Early birds will get their tickets for $8 each – these tickets are available until we sell 100 for each night or until next Tuesday at midnight, whichever comes first. The remaining 400 tickets for each night will be $10, available until the morning of each opening or until we sell out. You’ll be pleased to know there are no “convenience” charges waiting to be tacked on to these prices.

Tickets at the door are $15, but fair warning: advance ticketholders will get to enter first, and we’re limited to 500 people in the gallery at one time. (If that sounds like a lot, and you’re willing to take your chances, take note: we had over 1,600 people at last year’s opening.)

In addition to an exhibit of 43 amazing Washington, D.C. photographs, we’ll have beverages and snacks for you, along with music from DJ Sequoia and copies of the 5th Anniversary Edition DCist Exposed magazine for sale. Head on over to Eventbrite and grab your tickets now!
