FOOD & DRINK: Get “High on the Hog” at Eatonville’s (2121 14th Street NW) latest Food & Folkore dinner. The meal will include hors d’oeuvres, a special cocktail and a three-course meal of West African shrimp and spinach soup, sweet and spicy curried goat with chapati bread, smashed plantains, savory jollof rice and banana fritters. Special guest Jessica Harris, who has written about the “food and foodways of the African Diaspora,” will give a talk to accompany the meal. 6:30-9 p.m. $57.60 (all inclusive).
