HAPPY HOUR: Everybody Eats DC is a nonprofit organization that’s fundraising to bring a pay-what-you-can healthy cafe to D.C. Help support their efforts during a happy hour at Public Bar (1214 18th Street NW) tonight. There will be food and drink specials and prizes. 5-8 p.m. $10 suggested donation.

VOTING: Washington City Paper is throwing a Best of D.C. 2011 Ballot Party tonight at Tony & Joe’s Seafood Place (3000 K Street NW). In exchange for your opinions on the city’s Best Food and Drink, Best Arts and Entertainment, Best Goods and Services and more, they’re offering free food and drink specials. 6-8:30 p.m. Free.

FOOD & DRINK: Get “High on the Hog” at Eatonville’s (2121 14th Street NW) latest Food & Folkore dinner. The meal will include hors d’oeuvres, a special cocktail and a three-course meal of West African shrimp and spinach soup, sweet and spicy curried goat with chapati bread, smashed plantains, savory jollof rice and banana fritters. Special guest Jessica Harris, who has written about the “food and foodways of the African Diaspora,” will give a talk to accompany the meal. 6:30-9 p.m. $57.60 (all inclusive).

MUSIC: Slightly Stoopid plays the 9:30 Club (815 V Street NW) with Fishbone and Dumpstaphunk. 6:30 p.m. $29.50.

DANCE: Watch the Washington Ballet dance to the music of The Rolling Stones and Beck in their Rock & Roll show at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW). It opens today and runs through this Sunday, February 20th. 8 p.m. $20-$87.
