Animals are fairly popular subjects in our DCist Flickr pool, both in the zoo and in the wild. Even the ones we consider pests in our backyards and highways are easy shots to take from the comfort of our homes. Synapped is no stranger to taking shots of wildlife, particularly of our Bambi neighbors.

Now that the weather is starting to change, we’ll be seeing more and more signs of them. Those of us living in rural areas will spend more harrowing evenings dodging the critters on the highways, while the urbanites will revel in their little gifts of deer pellets. Ah, the joys of nature.
