ARTS: Celebrate Intersections, “a new America arts festival” featuring theater, dance and music that kicks off this Friday and runs through March 13th, with an Arts Fest Bar Quest sponsored by Washington City Paper. Start off at Smith Commons (1245 H Street NE) to see Comedian Rob Maher and a Speakeasy storyteller (5 p.m.), then head to H Street Country Club (1335 H Street NE) for a performance by someone from Sulu DC (6 p.m.), and round out the night with drink specials at SOVA (1359 H Street NE), Star and Shamrock (1341 H Street NE), and Smith Commons. (7 p.m., 8:30 p.m., 10 p.m.)

COMEDY: Fred Armisen of Saturday Night Live and Portlandia fame, comes to the Black Cat (1811 14th Street NW). 8 p.m. $25.

>> Comedian, actor and fellow SNL alum Jon Lovitz performs multiple shows this weekend at the Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse (2903 Columbia Pike, Arlington). Tonight, he goes on at 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 6:15 p.m.) and 9:55 p.m. (doors open at 9:30 p.m.) $30.

FITNESS: De-stress with Happy Hour yoga from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., followed by an 8 p.m. screening of I Heart Huckabees at Past Tense yoga studio (3253 Mt. Pleasant Street NW). $15.

HAPPY HOUR: Help raise money for Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic by attending a happy hour at The Front Page (1333 New Hampshire Avenue NW). 6-9 p.m. A $10 donation gets you food and drink specials including $2.50 beer and wine.

MUSIC: The 73-year-old “Queen of Rockabilly” Wanda Jackson hits the 9:30 Club (815 V Street NW) with The Lustre Kings. 10 p.m. $20.

MOVIE: Watch the hilariously bad neo-cult classic The Room at E Street Cinema (555 11th Street NW). Friday and Saturday at midnight. $10.

THEATER: If you’re under 35 years old, check out the Shakespeare Theatre Company’s production of Cymbelline. It’s only $15 bucks for youngin’s. 8 p.m.
