PARADE: Clarendon’s Mardi Gras Parade (N. Barton to N. Irving Streets) will feature floats, beads, live music and more. A number of the bars and restaurants in the area (like Ragtime, Bayou Bakery, Whitlows, and Iota) will be throwing parties and offering specials before and after the parade. 8 p.m. Free.

FOOD & DRINK: The Cajun Experience (1825 18th Street NW) is throwing an all-you-can-eat crawfish boil while a live New Orleans jazz band plays. The event is taking place throughout the day, so call (202) 670-4416 for reservations. $30.

>> Café Atlántico (405 8th Street NW) finishes up their Brazilian Carnaval celebration with a three-course dinner of seafood, black-eyed pea fritters, braised pork and passion fruit-banana dessert, accompanied by a live samba performance.
