The Post reports today that Mayor Vince Gray has gotten himself an attorney, and not just any attorney — he’s chosen Robert Bennett, who represented President Bill Clinton, to be his go-to legal representative. The Post similarly reports that Sulaimon Brown has spoken to the FBI, and the U.S. attorney’s office released a statement saying it’s assessing whether or not to get involved. And in somewhat related scandal news, the City Paper’s Alan Suderman tweeted yesterday that tomorrow will come the long-awaited report by attorney Robert Trout on the parks and rec contracting controversy that dogged the closing months of Mayor Adrian Fenty’s tenure. The report was commissioned a year ago this month.
