FITNESS: DC Fit Week kicked off early this morning with a free 6 a.m. kickboxing class, and continues tonight with free boot camp, body conditioning and belly dancing classes. TUESDAY: Eatonville Restaurant (2121 14th Street NW) helps celebrate the “America I AM” exhibit, now at the National Geographic Society Museum, with their Food & Folklore dinner: “America I AM: The African American Imprint.” Susan Norton, director of the National Geographic Society Museum, and Michael W. Twitty, who worked on the cookbook that accompanies the exhibit, will be the speakers for the night. The three-course menu includes: Lobster and Tarragon Chowder, Oysters Herbsainte (crispy fried oysters with anisette mornay sauce and creamed collards), Carolina Smoked BBQ (with mac and cheese, brioche buns and turnip greens), and Cherry Short Cake (flaky sweet buttermilk biscuit with tart brandied cherries, fresh cream and basil). 6:30 p.m. $57.60 (includes tax and tip).

FRIDAY: Participate in the First Annual District Beer Hunt this Friday, sponsored by J Street Beer. Put together a team of four to hit 10 bars gathering clues and ordering beers in an attempt to win prizes. There will be awards for most beers found, most bars visited, best team name, and best team uniform. The games begin with check-in at RFD (810 7th Street NW) on Friday night between 7 and 11 p.m., and ends with a Post Beer Hunt Party at RFD on Saturday (party starts 8 p.m., checklists due by 10 p.m.) $20 entry fee per team.
