Morning Washington. Looks like we’ll slowly thaw out of this unseasonably cold and rainy weather we’ve been having, but not without some showers today. If you woke up early enough, you caught a glimpse of the sun, but I’m afraid it won’t be out much longer today. Tomorrow though, promises ideal cherry blossom viewing weather: partially sunny, reaching 60.

>> Speaking of those cherry blossoms, tomorrow is the Cherry Blossom 10 miler, leaving a lot of roads closed around the Mall in the morning. Most of the roads that will be closed surround the Tidal Basin and downtown. You can read a full list of closures here.

>> While this isn’t quite ideal baseball weather, the Nationals are continuing their first home series of the year with afternoon games today and tomorrow. You can purchase $10 Japan aid game tickets this weekend. The Nationals will donate $5 from the price of each $10 ticket to UNICEF. Eligible sections include the Upper Infield Gallery, Upper Outfield Gallery, Outfield Gallery, Lower Rightfield Terrace, and Upper Rightfield Terrace. You can purchase online or at the stadium.

>> A man was hit by a Metrobus last night in Georgetown. The man was reportedly crossing Wisconsin Avenue but not in a crosswalk. No further word about his condition.

>> A man was convicted of two counts of manslaughter after he hit bystanders in a drag race in Maryland in 2009. No sentencing date has been set for Donneil Raeburn of Pikesville, who is being held without bail.
