Yesterday afternoon, a D.C. Fire and EMS hazmat team was called to the 300 block of I Street SW to investigate a white powder near a tree — authorities described the substance as “chalk-like” and taped off the area to investigate. Was it some kind of drug? Perhaps an explosive compound? Uh, not quite:
According to the D.C. fire and emergency services department, it did not take long to determine that the unknown white substance found near a tree was not a threat. It was instead one of the many white powdery materials that are generally considered harmless. In this case, according to fire and emergency services, the substance was “vanilla pudding mix.”
Well, as I always say — see JELL-O, say something.
