>> You all know the song they popularized, so start stretching now: House of Pain will surely be making folks “Jump Around” to their early ’90s hit at the 9:30 Club. Big B, Dirtball and Sozay are the opening acts. $25. 7 p.m.

Wednesday:
>> Marsha Ambrosius made her name with Floetry and has now gone solo. Though her “BET Music Matters Tour” show at the Birchmere with Melanie Fiona and Anthony David is sold out, Craigslist might be an option. 7:30 p.m.

>> Dallas vocalist N’dambi was nominated for a Grammy earlier this year and is now back on the road. She’ll be joined by Howard alum Sy Smith and D.C native W. Ellington Felton at the U Street Music Hall. $20 in advance. 8 p.m.

Thursday:
>> L.A.-based soultronic duo J*DaVeY recently released new material via their Evil Christian Cop: The Great Mistapes album. On the bill with them at Liv will be rapper Blu and local vocalist Alison Carney. $15 in advance / $20 at the door. 9 p.m.

Friday:
>> “The Beat Clash” returns with special performances by Kaimbr and M1-Platoon, among others. This session goes down at Everlasting Life Cafe. $5-$10. 8 p.m.

>> Violet Says 5 headlines a show at the Rock and Roll Hotel that will feature The Fif, Phila Da Future and DJ Beezy. $10. 8:30 p.m.

Saturday:
>> Last year’s Master of the Mix competition produced DJ Scratch as its champion. He’s making the rounds now and will be at the Warehouse Loft (411 New York Avenue NE) along with producer/DJ Just Blaze and DJ Stylus. Free with RSVP. 10 p.m.
