At approximately 1 a.m. this morning, Mayor Vince Gray, D.C. Council Chairman Kwame Brown and others — who had been moved from a police processing facility at 67 K Street SW to another facility at 119 D Street NE for fingerprinting — were released after being arrested earlier Monday evening. (The protesters were to be released around 7:30 p.m., but Freeman Klopott reports that there was an elongated delay due to more people being arrested than Capitol Police expected.) According to Mike DeBonis, after his release, Gray said he was “hungry” and heading to Horace and Dickie’s. Fair enough.
Obviously, we’ll have more on this…this morning — but your chief executive and legislative chair are now outside of police custody, D.C. G’night!
