MOVIE: The David Lynch Retrospective at Artisphere (1101 Wilson Blvd., Arlington) continues tonight with a screening of Lost Highway. 8 p.m. $6.

>> Filmfest DC presents a film screening of Rejoice and Shout, and pairs it with a live performance by the WPAS Men, Women and Children of the Gospel Choir, at the Avalon Theatre (5612 Connecticut Avenue NW). 6 p.m. $11.

TALK: The National Archives (Constitution Avenue and 7th Street NW) is hosting a talk tonight on American Political Cartoon History. The speakers, Stephen Hess of the Brookings Institute and Sandy Northrop of PBS, will discuss cartoons from 1754 (like ones penned by Benjamin Franklin) through 2010 (featuring Bush and Obama). 7 p.m. Free.

THEATER: The Car Plays, being performed by Taffety Punk Theatre Company at the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (545 7th Street SE), are aptly named since they are in fact “one-act plays about people in their cars.” Catch a show tonight through April 23rd. 8 p.m. $10.

MUSIC: The Go! Team are bound to bring a lot of fun to the 9:30 Club (815 V Street NW) tonight. Check out their single, “Buy Nothing Day” for a taste. Dom also performs. 7 p.m. $15.

FOOD & DRINK: Meridian Pint (3400 11th Street NW) celebrates the beers of Baltimore tonight with brewers Steve Frazier (Brewer’s Art), Steve Jones (Oliver) and Brian Strumpke (Stillwater) on hand with casks showcasing their breweries’ offerings. 5 p.m.
