ART: The 29th Annual Smithsonian Craft Show kicks off tonight at the National Building Museum (401 F Street NW) and continues through April 17th. “Crafts” is a bit of an understatement, though — “wearable art” from 120 artists is more accurate. 10 a.m.-8 p.m. $6 after 6 p.m. ($15 before).

FASHION: 8 designers strut their stuff (via models, of course) tonight at the Fashion: District show and pop-up shop at Long View Gallery (1234 9th Street NW). Doors 7 p.m., show starts at 9 p.m. $25 (admission and 1 drink ticket), $50 (admission and open bar), $75 (admission, reserved seat, open bar and gift bag).

FOOD & DRINK: Belga Cafe’s (514 8th Street SE ) Unibroue dinner is a four-course meal paired with 10 Unibroue and Belgian beers. 6:30 p.m. $79.

>> It’s the The Fojol Brothers turn at Chinatown Coffee Co.’s (475 H Street NW) Food Truck Thursday event tonight. Grab some grub from the “traveling culinary carnival” and pair it with $3 beers from Chinatown Coffee. 6:30-8:30 p.m.

>> Whole Foods on P Street (1440 P Street NW) wants to reintroduce you to canned beers. Come out for their canned beer tasting and learn how cans are better than bottles at keeping oxygen and sunlight out. Then sample a variety of styles that come in cans. Registration required, email tim.hayes@wholefoods.com. 7-8 p.m. $15.

FUNDRAISER: Rocklands Barbecue (3471 Washington Boulevard, Arlington) is hosting the “Shed Your Coat” fundraiser, collecting used coats in good condition and non-perishable food items to support Doorways for Women and Families. Rocklands will also be roasting a whole pig to carve up for sandwiches, and since Thursdays are also Yappy Hours, attendees are encouraged to bring their dogs. 5-8 p.m. $5 suggested donation.

MUSIC: Beach Fossils, in town from Brooklyn, perform at DC9 (1940 9th Street NW), playing songs from What a Pleasure. Craft Spells also hits the stage. 8:30 p.m. $12.
