A hearty congratulations to M.E. Swing Coffee — the local brewer we highlighted in March — who earlier this month was awarded the KRUPS “Cup O’ Joe” prize as the best local coffee shop in the District.

Back in March, we noted that you could pick up Swing’s beans at grocers like Whole Foods and Rodman’s for your home brewing needs, but let this serve as a reminder to check out Swing’s coffeehouse at the corner of 17th and G Streets NW. The old-timey interior is the perfect companion to the delicious joe served on-site, which will make you forget all about that burnt cup of flavorless caffeine you picked up on the way to work this morning.
