Tuesday:
>> Most recently known for being half of the “Barbra Streisand“-producing duo Duck Sauce, Montreal native DJ A-Trak has hit the road on his “Magic 8 Ball” tour. He’ll be joined at the U Street Music Hall by Kid Sister, Willy Joy, Gaslamp Killer and Harry Hotter. $25. 8 p.m.

>> Devin The Dude comes out of the Houston rap scene, but could probably be viewed as the flip side to that city’s most notorious group, The Geto Boys. He’ll be bringing his slightly off-beat and humorous persona to the Rock and Roll Hotel along with Coughee Brothaz. $20. 8 p.m.

Wednesday:
>> Minneapolis-based Atmosphere will perform at a sold out 9:30 Club along with Blueprint, Sab The Artist, DJ Abilities and Grieves with Budo. Craigslist might provide you with some ticket options. 5 p.m.

Thursday:
>> R&B quartet Jagged Edge had a solid run of hits around the turn of the century with songs like, “Where The Party At.” They’ll be on stage at The Park as a part of the “Plugged IN” series. Free with RSVP. 8 p.m.

>> The last Thursday of the month brings us another “Afrobeat 4 Ya Soul.” As usual, DJ Underdog provides the sounds while a live band, Heturu, also performs at Bossa. $5. 9 p.m.

Friday:
>> Singer/songwriter Choklate hails from Seattle and has built a strong following on the indie soul circuit, having performed with the likes of Bilal and Roy Ayers. She’s in D.C. to take part in the “Spring Soul Session Vol. 1” at Twelve Restaurant and Lounge along with Eva Kennedy and D.C. native Snuhgie Stocks. $20 in advance / $30 at the door. 7 p.m.

>> Influenced by the techno sounds of Detroit, Matthew Dear has built a name for himself on the electronic music scene. He’ll be the featured DJ for “Red Fridays” at U Street Music Hall tonight. Free before 11 p.m. (21 and up) / $10 after 11 p.m. Doors at 10 p.m.

Saturday:
>> Sure, the Stephanie Mills show is sold out, but that shouldn’t keep you from enjoying music from her era. The April edition of the “Axel F.” party is slated to go down at Liv. On decks, as usual, will be DJs Jahsonic, Stylus and Adrian Loving, spinning the finest in jheri curl funk and champagne soul. Free before midnight / $5 after midnight. 10 p.m.

>> Chicago house legend Ron Trent is back in town to spin with D.C.’s own Chris Burns at The Warehouse Loft (411 New York Avenue NE) as a part of “Body Music 3.” $10 before midnight. 10 p.m.
