It’s nerd prom season, alright. This weekend’s big event? The White House Correspondents’ Association Annual Dinner, which never fails to produce an overwhelming amount of banter on the Internets, much of it instantly forgettable. Though, we have to wonder, as Dana Milbank has: what precisely is the Washington Post thinking, inviting local winery owner Donald Trump to be its guest at the annual event? I suppose the leadership at the newspaper just wanted to get a more nuanced take on Trump’s stances regarding serving McDonald’s at state dinners and dropping expletives while delivering speeches.
