Before you head out to one of the several musical options around the District tonight, you might want to pop into a nearby pub: hometown brewer DC Brau will release its second offering, Penn Quarter Porter, at several bars around town this evening. The brewery is only producing 27 kegs of the robust brew for the entire city, though — and judging from the around-the-block line three weeks ago for the brewery’s launch of its Public Ale at Meridian Pint yours truly patiently waited in, I’m willing to wager that supply won’t last very long. According to the Post’s Fritz Hahn, the beer will be on tap tonight — until supplies last! — at Meridian Pint, ChurchKey, R.F.D., the Argonaut, Brasserie Beck, the Big Hunt, Capitol Lounge, Iron Horse Tap Room, Little Miss Whiskey’s, the Passenger, Pizzeria Paradiso in Georgetown and Dupont Circle, The Pug, Smith Commons and some other, unnamed bars around the beer’s neighborhood namesake. (Note: DC Brau says to call before you go; some bars might not be opening their kegs until tomorrow.) Good luck getting your hands on a pint, beer lovers!
