As promised, a whole bunch of people gathered near the U.S. Capitol yesterday morning to milk a cow.

And really, there’s not a whole lot that this story doesn’t have. Amish farmers! Milk-based puns! Kids holding protest signs! A cow eating grass on the grounds of the Capitol! Ron Paul! It’s like a Coen Brothers movie that’s just waiting to be written, I’m telling you.

I guess the question is: would you drink unpasteurized moo juice, given the legal opportunity? (In the interest of full editorial disclosure, I’m not sure I’m drinking it if it looks anything like what’s being poured in this photograph published by the Washington Post.)
