Matt.Dunn braved the infield at the Preakness on Saturday to bring us a photo of the half-man, half-thoroughbred, all-Maryland creature known as Kegasus. You may remember Kegasus’s unveiling back in March, when the genius minds in the marketing department at Pimlico decided that this mythical creature would encourage Marylanders to buy $20 bottomless mugs of beer at the Infieldfest. What they didn’t initially share, and what is evident in this photo, is that to tap the beer, some of the over 107,000 on hand had to milk the teat of Kegasus’s clearly ample bosom. Despite this, Kegasus has become so popular that we hear Peter Angelos wants to sign him to play center field for the O’s for the rest of the season.
