>> The month’s final Saturday means it’s time for the jheri curl funk, champagne soul and lazer boogie of the “Axel F.” party. The venue is Liv and DJs Stylus and Keenan Orr will provide the sounds. Free before midnight / $5 after midnight. 10 p.m.

>> It’s a three-day holiday weekend, and what better way to celebrate than with the music of Prince and his disciples. DJ Dredd will again be hosting the Prince tribute party at Black Cat. $10 in advance / $12 at the door. 9 p.m.
