Now, I’ve never met Bryce Harper, the Nationals’ next big thing. But based exclusively on things I’ve read, Harper seems like kind of a jerk.

The latest example: during the sixth inning of a minor league game against the Greensboro Grasshoppers, Harper took pitcher Zach Neal deep, putting his Hagerstown side up 2-0. Harper then proceeded to blow Neal a kiss as he rounded the bases — which, for those unfamiliar with baseball etiquette, is just about as appropriate as mooning him from center field.

Then again, if I was an incredibly talented teenager who was going to make nearly $10 million over the next five years playing baseball, I’d probably be just as cocky.
