There sure was a lot of talk about the future of weekend Metro service yesterday. But what about this weekend, you ask? Well, look no further!

WMATA will be conducting some maintenance work on the Red, Blue and Orange lines beginning this evening at 9:30 p.m. Refreshingly, the slate is free of any station closures (but, uh, don’t get too used to that), though it does include single-tracking between Grosvenor-Strathmore and Twinbrook, and Takoma and Forest Glen on the Red Line; Foggy Bottom-GWU and Arlington Cemetery on the Blue Line; and Foggy Bottom-GWU and Clarendon on the Orange Line.

Metro says customers should factor in about 20 minutes of additional travel time on all three lines this weekend as a result of the single-tracking.
