Washington Nationals Chief Operating Officer Andy Feffer is really excited about the opening of several new restaurants, including Shake Shack, at his team’s ballpark this afternoon. So much so, in fact, that he’s apparently forgotten that his business lies primarily in baseball, not delicious custard treats and happy hours.

Be honest: does this sound like the kind of statement that a baseball executive excited about the future of his club’s on-field product would make?

“I’ve been to stadiums and ballparks all over the country, and without a doubt I’ve never seen anything like this,” said Nats COO Andy Feffer, who spearheaded the project. “I think it will become the iconic, defining element of Nationals Park, the thing people leave and say, “Did you see that?'”

I don’t know, home runs and winning are pretty great, too.
