Well, I suppose this is an innovative way for the R******* to improve their strained relationship with fans: Washington players invited 28-year-old Josh Richards to leave the bleachers and join in with them during an informal practice session today. (Since the NFL is still in lockout, the practice wasn’t authorized by the team, opening the door for the players to do this kind of thing.) Richards worked out with the team’s defensive backs, and, according to the Post, joked that “I told them I would be ready if they needed me.”

No word on whether Dan Snyder’s interested in signing Richards to a $100 million contract or not.
