Thinking about using Capital Bikeshare to get to the National Mall for Monday’s Independence Day fireworks display, but worried about the availability of docks? Not to fear — DDOT announced this morning that they’ll be operating two Bikeshare corrals to encourage customers to ride.

Two corrals — at 12th Street and Independence Avenue SW (right by the Smithsonian Metro station) and 10th Street and Constitution Ave NW — will be set up between 5 and 11 p.m. on Monday and will guarantee riders a place to park their bikes. (Of course, it’s important to remember that Bikeshare makes no promises that you won’t be dockblocked with extreme prejudice if you use Bikeshare to get back from the fireworks.)

If you’re heading elsewhere on the Fourth with one of the red bikes, DDOT also says that rebalancing efforts during the holiday will be slower than usual, due to road closures around the District — availability of Bikeshare on Tuesday morning might also be affected by the Monday night usage.
