Photo by Kevin H.Real estate tracking firm Clear Capital released a new report Friday that found that the D.C. metro region is projected to end this year as the top performing housing market in the country.
By the end of the year, D.C. homes are expected to regain nearly one-third of the value they lost, on average, between 2006 and 2009.
Still, home prices are down significantly from the 2006 peak. According to the Washington Examiner, “D.C. home prices lost 42 percent of their value from the peak to the bottom of the market.”
