WMATA may have announced some new rider initiatives yesterday, but that doesn’t mean that weekend maintenance is going anywhere. For the weekend ahead, you’ll want to build in a little extra time — say, 20 to 30 minutes — between the following stations beginning at 10 p.m. this evening:

>> Orange Line: East Falls Church and West Falls Church, where buses will replace trains while work on the Dulles extension is completed
>> Red Line: Dupont Circle and Judiciary Square, where workers will be fixing the ceiling at Farragut North
>> Green Lines: Navy Yard and Anacostia

In an added twist, the north entrance at Farragut North (located at L Street and Connecticut Avenue NW) will be closed beginning at 10 tonight to facilitate that aforementioned ceiling work. Finally, be sure to take note of some minor bus detours in Maryland and Virginia, if you’re heading that way.
