>> We have a second Good Samaritan story this weekend. Maryland state trooper Byron Tribue, 26, is recovering after being stabbed in the hands on the Capital Beltway when he responded to a call for a traffic accident. The suspect, James A. Howard, 54, of Hyattsville, Md., approached the trooper after his car pulled up and attacked him with a knife through the window. A passing driver stopped and jumped on Howard’s back, which gave Tribue enough time to get out of the car. The driver left the scene before state and county police arrived. Howard is under police watch at a local hospital where he was taken for an evaluation. Charges are pending.
