Outdoor night shots can be a challenge. But Flickr contributor slightlyworn takes advantage of the gorgeous light, allowing the warm tones to lend this backyard concert scene a dreamy, idyllic quality. (EXIF.)

And now, a friendly reminder from your DCist editorial team:

We love your photographs! But in order to use them on DCist, we need to be able to grab your photos easily. We often come across images in the DCist Flickr pool, or which are tagged with “DCist”, that we’d like to use but that are disabled for downloading. If you’d like to change your Flickr settings to allow downloading, scroll to the very bottom of any page on Flickr and click “Your Account” which is on the second line of the menu in the row starting with “You.” There you’ll find “Privacy and Permissions” and can change your access settings.

If you set it to allow “Flickr users” or “Friends and Family only”, it’s possible we can still grab them — but only if the DCist writer is using a Flickr account and/or is friends with you (as indeed, many of us are). But we have a number of contributors who don’t have accounts at all and don’t use the DCist account, so basically this is the default that makes it easy for all of us to use your photos. If you choose to restrict your access, that’s fine, it also means your chances of a certain writer using your photo go down. (Which, of course, may be perfectly acceptable to you).

Please keep the awesome photos coming, folks!
