A word to the wise for those who might be considering knocking off work a little bit early today and taking a trip to the Kogod Courtyard or to a matinee at Gallery Place: a pro-labor organization has planned a protest of Walmart at the company’s lobbying office on 8th Street NW this afternoon. The organizers of the protest are stating that they expect “hundreds…from around the country” to gather in front of the office building at 701 8th Street NW starting at 4:30 p.m. — the protest is affiliated with the national Jobs for Justice conference which is taking place this weekend in the District.
