The first SlutWalk was held in April, triggered by a Toronto cop’s comment that “women should avoid dressing like sluts in order not to be victimized.”

The SlutWalk DC crowd rallied at Lafayette Square Saturday and marched to the Washington Monument to protest what organizers call a culture of victim-blaming. Some dressed provocatively, others more modestly. All turned out to combat sexual violence.
