ART: Step Afrika! dances at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. during Phillips After 5 at the Phillips Collection (1600 21st Street NW). There will also be live jazz music from Project Natale (5-8:15 p.m.), rum punch and a talk on artist Jacob Lawrence’s painting process (6 and 7 p.m.). The event goes from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets: $12.

CONTEST: Sixth and I Historic Synagogue (600 I Street NW) hosts a Trivia Night and the 4th Annual Pickle Eating Contest. Pickles will be provided by the Sixth & I kosher deli food truck. The contest will take place after the first round of trivia is completed. 7 p.m. $18.

BEER: Chocolate City Beer is throwing a launch party at RFD (810 7th Street NW) tonight. All Chocolate City beers will be $4. 9 p.m.

MUSIC: The Moohmbaton Massive Party is back at U Street Music Hall (1115 U Street NW) tonight, featuring Nadastrom, Sabo Munchi, Heartbreak and more. 8 p.m. $8 in advance and $10 at the door.

THEATER: The Shakespeare Theatre Company presents Julius Caesar as a part of their “Free For All” series at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW). 8 p.m. Free, but tickets required.
