>> Cleveland’s Conya Doss has been a mainstay on the indie soul scene for the better part of a decade. The vocalist will be at Blues Alley for two shows. $35. 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.
>> It’s been three-quarters of a century since his birth but Chuck Brown (pictured) doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. As has become ritual, the Godfather of Go-Go will celebrate his birthday by putting on a show for his legions of fans at the 9:30 Club. And if that wasn’t enough, funk legend Bootsy Collins is serving as the night’s host. $30. 9 p.m.
>> It’s the fourth Saturday of the month, which means its time to break out your Members Only jacket and bring your love of all things funky from the mid-’80s to Liv for “Axel F.” As usual, DJs Jahsonic, Stylus and Adrian Loving spin the finest tunes ranging from lazer boogie to champagne soul fit for consumption.
